Water quality is a crucial factor for avoiding corrosion and scaling of turbines, boilers and pipes in power plants. Model SWAS monitors the water quality in the plant and maintains the water-steam-circuit integrity. Critical parameters such as pH, conductivity or sodium are measured to prevent the accumulation of precipitation in heat exchangers, boiler pipes and superheaters. Benefits of the steam- and water-analysis system include increased process control, minimized downtime and longer operational life.
