Mettler-Toledo's line of tunable diode laser (TDL) analyzers has earned the company the “2014 Global Frost & Sullivan Award for Competitive Strategy Innovation & Leadership” from the industry consultants and market research analysts organization based in San Antonio.
Mettler-Toledo's GPro 500 TDL series can be used for both in-situ and extractive measurement. According to the company, its design is adaptable to most processes. The series comprises four products for the measurement of oxygen, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and moisture.
According to Columbus, Ohio-based Mettler-Toledo AG, customers increasingly prefer in-situ measurement because direct measurement in the process is fast and reliable. Others prefer extractive systems, where a sample of the gas is extracted from the gas stream immediately before measurement. The GPro 500 combines the laser source and analyzer in a single unit.
