A manufacturer of thermal process engineering and technology for food, feed and industrial materials, Bühler Aeroglide, Cary, N.C. named Andy Sharpe as its president and CEO, effective June 1. Sharpe succeeds Hans-Jöerg Ill, who will return to Bühler’s headquarters in Uzwil, Switzerland. Sharpe has nearly 20 years’ experience working across all functions of Bühler Aeroglide, including sales, marketing, research and development, engineering and manufacturing. Most recently, Sharpe served as vice president of business development and product director, global food and feed, guiding the development of product innovations that were a direct result of collaborations with customers.

Doug Spisak was promoted to director of proposals and technical sales at Pittsburgh-based Heyl & Patterson Inc. Spisak will be responsible for proposals and estimating for all of the company’s divisions: Renneburg for thermal processing, Bulk Transfer for materials handling and Aftermarket for replacement parts and upgrades.

The board of directors of Ambrell, Scottsville, N.Y., appointed Anthony Mazzullo as president, CEO and a director on the company’s board effective May 26. Mazzullo succeeds Tom Giglia, who served as interim CEO and assumes a critical role focusing on aggressive expansion of Ambrell’s global operations.

Standex International Corp., Salem, N.H., promoted Scott Jordan to president, Standex Cooking Solutions Group, effective July 1. Scott previously served as president of Master-Bilt in Standex’s Refrigeration Solutions Group. Also, Standex Refrigerated Solutions Group made several changes to its team. Kenny Owen was promoted to vice president/general manager of Master-Bilt’s New Albany operations.
