IHEA’s 2015 Fall Business Conference will be held September 1-2 at the Hilton Columbus Downtown following the IHEA fall seminars in Columbus, Ohio. This year, attendees will hear from IHEA President B.J. Bernard and Executive Vice President Anne Goyer about the new event that IHEA will sponsor in 2016, ITPS Americas. Also on the program will be a presentation about the latest trend in manufacturing training called makerspaces. Chief operating officer at the Columbus Idea Foundry, Casey McCarty, will provide some background and highlights of this new training initiative. A representative from the U.S. Department of Energy will discuss new opportunities for working with the DOE and ways IHEA can be involved in upcoming projects. Michael Collins of MPC Management will present, “What to Know to Grow,” a presentation that highlights several ways to evaluate your company’s needs in order to choose the right strategy and offer apprenticeships to bring in young talent to help grow your company.
