Nutec Bickley, Santa Catarina, Mexico, has received a contract from a major U.S. electronic component manufacturer to supply a high-temperature elevator kiln.
The kiln will fire at a maximum temperature of 3047°F (1675°C) and will be lined with Nutec Bickley’s floating anchoring system. The system anchors the refractory to the wall in a way that allows expansion and contraction movement of the refractory wall parallel to the steel casing but retains the refractories as a unit for longer service life.
The kiln also incorporates an efficient combustion and control system that can run in two different modes of operation. With this system, it will be possible to control the kiln temperature starting at 194°F (90°C), while controlling the levels of excess air on each segment of the firing curve for efficient energy usage.
