The FM-approved thermal shutoff valve can be used to automatically shut down a pneumatic control system when a nearby fire occurs or when the ambient temperature reaches 135, 150 or 165°F. FireCheck immediately closes the air supply line when it senses excessive heat from a nearby fire, preventing the air from feeding the fire. It simultaneously vents the spring return actuator to allow the return to fail-safe. Available in three different configurations, it can be used in both batch and continuous process systems found in oil refining, paper manufacturing and power plants.
