Recognizing that some industrial chemical workers may more fully benefit from its safety videos, bulletins and reports if they were published in Spanish, the U.S. Chemical Safety Board has committed to publishing key safety information in both English and Spanish.

Among the investigations to be included in the initiative are updates on the final investigation report into the 2009 explosion and fire at the Caribbean Petroleum terminal facility near San Juan, Puerto Rico, and the ongoing investigation into the fatal methyl mercaptan release that took place in 2014 at DuPont’s pesticide manufacturing plant in La Porte, Texas. The CSB also plans to offer versions of its safety videos with Spanish subtitles.
