To consolidate all of its gas- and flame-detection solutions under a single brand, Tyco International formed Tyco Gas & Flame Detection, a new operating brand of Tyco Life Safety Products division. The combined entity provides solutions for industrial fixed and portable gas and flame detection, gas measurement devices, alarms and controllers.

Since Tyco acquired Industrial Safety Technologies (IST) in February 2015, the company has worked to integrate the IST brands with its existing gas and flame detection brands.  Affected brands include IST companies Detcon, Oldham, Gas Measurement Instruments and Simtronics as well as gas- and flame-detection portfolio of Scott Safety.
