The Industrial Heating Equipment Association (IHEA) launched an Induction Division, which will focus on educating induction OEMs and end-users of thermal process technologies. Key focuses will be best practices such as safety and operations as well as applications for which induction is best used.

The three charter induction OEMs are Ajax Tocco Magnethermic, Ambrell and SMS Elotherm, with Taylor-Winfield joining in 2016. The utility members involved are Duke Energy, Georgia Power and Alabama Power, and the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI).

The Induction Division is in the process of developing content for IHEA’s fall induction seminar.
