Solenis, Wilmington, Del., signed an agreement to acquire two companies focused on supplying specialty chemicals to the pulp and tissue and towel markets.

Privately held Lostris International B.V. and Wester Blend B.V. have capabilities that complement Solenis’ current offerings. Lostris produces defoamer formulations, pitch dispersants and scale control chemistries for the pulp market. The deal is expected to close in the second quarter.
