Solenis LLC, Wilmington, Del., signed an agreement to acquire the shares in Lostris International B.V. and Wester Blend B.V., privately held companies primarily focused on supplying specialty chemicals to the pulp and tissue-and-towel markets. The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter 2016, following receipt of customary regulatory approvals in Germany.

Bryan Steam LLC, Peru, Ind., produced two catalogs. One focuses on forced-draft gas, electric, condensing, Low NOX and knockdown boilers from 6 to 600 hp for industrial applications. Buffalo-based Mokon, a manufacturer of circulating liquid temperature control systems, has completed the redesign of its Full Range temperature control system. The temperature control system combines a circulating water system and a chiller to provide heating and chilling from a single compact, self-supporting unit.

Ecolab Inc. has changed the name of Nalco, its water and process services business, to Nalco Water. The new name more clearly communicates Nalco’s water management expertise as water scarcity is becoming a major global challenge and an increasing constraint to business growth. Nalco Water provides water and process services to customers in industries such as food and beverage, manufacturing, paper, power, primary metals, chemicals and mining.
Nalco Water, which is headquartered in Naperville, Ill., merged with Ecolab in 2011. The name change will not affect Nalco Champion, Ecolab’s energy services business.

Paharpur Cooling Towers Ltd. has purchased the Dry Cooling business of Charlotte-based SPX Corp. for approximately $48 million. The Dry Cooling business, which is headquartered in Brussels with facilities in China and the United States, accounts for approximately 10 percent of the revenues of SPX's Power Segment. This business includes SPX's ownership interest in its joint venture with Shanghai Electric. The deal, however, did not include SPX's South African subsidiary, DBT Technologies (Pty) Ltd.

The Air Movement and Control Association (AMCA) International Inc., Arlington Heights, Ill., is seeking technical committee members for the revision of AMCA Standard 220, Laboratory Methods of Testing Air Curtain Units for Aerodynamic Performance Ratings. The standard establishes uniform methods for laboratory testing of air curtain units to determine aerodynamic performance in terms of airflow rate, outlet air velocity uniformity, power consumption and air velocity projection, for rating or guarantee purposes.

(ATS), Norwood, Mass., selected Ismosys (Integrated Sales Marketing and Operations System) to represent its liquid cooling, cold plates, heat pipes, heat sinks and attachment systems in Europe.
