Used for drying polycarbonate plastics, No. 900 is gas heated to temperatures of 350°F (177°C). The floor-level cabinet oven has 100,000 BTU/hr installed in a modulating natural gas burner. Workspace dimensions measure 36 x 36 x 60”. Other features include 4” insulated walls; a 750-cfm, 0.75-hp recirculating blower that provides vertical airflow to the oven; and safety equipment such as a 325-cfm, 0.3-hp powered force exhauster. The oven has shelf supports on 3” vertical centers that are rated 200 lb per level, for a 1000 lb maximum oven load. Controls include a recirculating blower airflow safety switch; digital-indicating temperature controller; and manual-reset excess temperature controller with separate contactors.
