Other features include higher temperature measurement (-58 to 2192°F [-50 to 1200°C]) than previous models and an adjustable emissivity setting. The battery-operated device includes audible and visual high and low alarms to alert users of temperatures outside of ranges set. A bright backlit display can be turned on in poorly lit areas.
