Model 6E00 serves as an independent safety system to ensure explosion protection. The end-of-line deflagration flame arrestor is available in several sizes and can be ordered with threaded or flanged connections. The flame arrestors are designed on the principle of the quenching. The crimped SST metal element allows vapor to pass through, which allows a vessel to breath. At the same time, an element inside the housing provides an extinguishing barrier by absorbing heat, preventing the propagation of a flame from the exposed side to the protected side. Because there are no moving parts, maintenance is minimal. The flame cell element can be removed for inspection and cleaning.
