A natural-gas-fired three-zone conveyor oven will be used by a packaging manufacturer to dry paper pulp material. The recycled material then will be used in molded fiber packaging material.
The oven, built by Wisconsin Oven, East Troy, Wis., has a maximum temperature rating of 500°F (260°C) with three zones of control. The first two zones have operating temperatures of 420°F and 325°F (215 and 163°C), and the third zone is unheated for residual drying. In the first two zones, top-down and bottom-up airflow are utilized to maximize the drying rate of the paper pulp. Only top-down airflow is used in the third zone.
The oven includes three access doors on the side of the body of each zone for a total of nine access doors for ease of maintenance.
