Conveyor Oven Designed to Temper Steel Shafts
An electrically heated indexing conveyor oven will be used by a company in the steel industry to temper steel shafts.
Manufactured by Wisconsin Oven, East Troy, Wis., the slat-style oven has a maximum temperature rating of 450°F (232°C). Its body is constructed with tongue-and-groove panel assemblies and proprietary high efficiency panel seams, which the ovenmaker says provides 25 percent better insulating efficiency.
The production rate of this oven is 277 shafts per hour. The shafts are automatically loaded onto the conveyor by the customer’s robot. Adjustable-profile doors are provided at both ends above the conveyor to reduce heat spill-out, and the recirculation system is designed with top-down airflow for optimal airflow efficiencies.
