Nationwide Boiler Inc., Fremont, Calif., signed a formal representation agreement with Superior Boiler Works, Hutchinson, Kan., a manufacturer of Scotch marine firetube boilers and associated boiler room equipment. The agreement grants exclusive rights to Nationwide Boiler for the market of Superior Boiler products to all California counties north of and including Kern County, and the entire state of Nevada. Nationwide Boiler has held a national account status with Superior Boiler for the past several years.
Hartzell Air Movement revamped www.hartzellairmovement.com. The Piqua, Ohio-based manufacturer added an enhanced search that allows for quick access to product and market resources. The website is interactive and automatically adjusts to the type of device it is being viewed on. As part of the redesign, the site includes white papers and technical articles.
In other company news, Hartzell extended its manufacturer’s warranty to five years. The new warranty program represents the longest standard manufacturer warranty in the industrial air movement industry, according to the company. All products are eligible for the five-year warranty although customers must register their orders through the company's new website to activate it.
Using pharmaceutical industry case studies, two no-cost on-demand webinars focus on continuous flow chemistry. Offered by Mettler-Toledo, the webinars include: "Accelerated Process Development Using an Advanced Flow Reactor," presented by Jerry Salan of Nalas Engineering and formerly of Pfizer; and "Development of Continuous Flow Chemistry Using PAT Analyses," presented by Eric Fang of Snapdragon and formerly of Amgen. Michael Glavin was appointed vice president of engineering for Somers, Conn.-based Conval, a manufacturer of high performance severe-service valves.
Spirax-Sarco Engineering plc, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, UK, was named to the the top ten of Management Today magazine’s list of “Britain’s Most Admired Companies.” The company also gained top 10 ranking in quality of management (#6), financial soundness (#3) and quality of goods and services (#4).
Gregory W. Helbling was promoted from director of sales and marketing to vice president of sales and marketing for Airmaster, a manufacturer of air circulation and heating solutions. The Clarklake, Mich., manufacturer also hired Keith Simon as senior product development manager and Jerry Vojtush as its inside sales manager.
Lynwood Capital Partners invested in Rocket Seals Inc. in partnership with the existing management team of the company. Rocket distributes seals and O-rings to the OEM and repair and maintenance markets. Rocket serves customers in markets such as fluid power generation and transmission, water filtration and treatment, industrial equipment, oil and gas, food and beverage, mining equipment and consumer products.
