A batch oven will be used for curing and sterilizing silicone breast implants and other implantable silicone medical devices in PC thermoforms with Tyvek lids. Thermal Product Solutions shipped the custom Gruenberg curing oven to the medical device manufacturing company.

With a maximum temperature rating of 450°F (232°C) and a work chamber measuring 68 by 59 by 70", the unit was designed to cure and sterilize silicone breast implants in a variety of sizes and shapes. To maximize the medical device maker’s production rate, the oven’s chamber width was doubled so that it could accommodate two truckloads per cycle.
