Drum oven is steam heated and rated for a maximum operating temperature of 250°F (121°C). The oven is designed to heat four 55-gallon drums and has a rear-mounted steam heater box with a high efficiency circulating fan to evenly distribute airflow throughout the workspace. Electronic temperature controls actuate a proportional steam valve and solenoid valve to control temperature and provide overtemperature protection. In one installation, an electrically hazardous location required that the entire electrical system be rated Class I, Division II service. As an additional safety feature, the circulating fan was upgraded to AMCA (Air Movement and Control Association) “C” spark resistance.
