Flexible Packaging Plant Opens in India
Scholle IPN opened a 6,000 m2 flexible packaging facility in Palghar, India.
Outfitted with 25 injection molding machines and automatic bag-making machines, the plant will manufacture aseptic, 220-liter drum bags for the tropical fruit juice industry. It will also produce spouts and custom products for flexible packaging components such as connectors, caps and dispensing fitments.
India is a major producer of mango and other tropical fruits that require aseptic packaging. Before the Palghar plant opened, however, all aseptic drum bags were imported. Scholle IPN’s facility will allow aseptic packaging requirements to be fulfilled locally.
