Superior Boiler Works Inc. celebrated its 100th year of continuous operations with a special all-employee dinner at The Town Club in Hutchinson, Kan. During the event, now-retired former employees and current or former military personnel were recognized, and current employee service awards were presented.

“The two main, constant objectives through the years – or century, I should say –  can be traced to always listening to what customers are asking for and being focused on delivering the highest-quality product possible,” said Superior Boiler Works CEO Doug Wright. “That’s what Superior Boiler Works is known for throughout the boiler industry.”

In other news, Superior Boiler Works manufactured and delivered a custom-engineered deaerator boiler feedwater system for a major power-generating facility operating in the northeast United States. The delivered unit consisted of a tray-type 200,000 lb per hour (pph) deaerator feeding boiler water at 380 psig from a 4,000 gal storage tank compartment. It included a custom hot-dipped, galvanized ladder and platform structure, which was certified to the latest seismic standards by licensed engineers.
