International Thermal Systems, Milwaukee, Wis., was approached by an automotive suspension manufacturer to develop a system that would reduce hydrogen embrittlement from parts after plating. The result was an electrically heated closed loop system where the product is loaded and unloaded at the same spot.

The main features of the oven include: a fully automated square loop indexing conveyor system; a two position preheat section; a three position soak zone; vertical lift doors to prevent heat loss; and a single pass-through ambient air cooling section.
