Spurred by customer demand for technologies to reduce the environmental impact of industrial process facilities, Emerson opened a gas analysis facility in Cumbernauld, Scotland. It is equipped with engineering, development and manufacturing resources for sensor, mechanical, electronics and software design.

The gas analysis solutions center will produce more than 10 different sensing technologies that can measure more than 60 different gas components. The 62,000 ft² facility will engineer and manufacture Emerson’s Rosemount continuous gas analyzers and gas chromatographs, which are used to improve emissions monitoring, plant safety, quality control and operational efficiency.

According to Emerson, these tools can help process plants meet stringent environmental regulations and ensure process control in hydrogen, biofuel, food and beverage, pharmaceutical and aerosol manufacturing.
