A company in the defense industry will use an explosion-resistant, friction-heated cabinet oven to dry molding powders. The Gruenberg oven, shipped by Thermal Product Solutions, has an operating temperature of 149°F (65°C).
Two Class A cabinet ovens with a maximum temperature rating of 180°F (82°C) have been shipped to the specialty filter industry. The Gruenberg industrial ovens are constructed from a structural-steel frame that supports the stainless-steel interior chamber lining and the exterior sheet metal. All interconnecting struts are non-continuous, which helps keep the exterior cool.
A custom 200°F (93°C) steam-heated cabinet oven designed and built by Lewco Inc. is being used to melt residuals out of special containers. A stainless steel collection pan is included in the base of the oven. The pan collects the contents melted from the containers and compiles them in a drain pipe that extends out from the bottom of the oven. The contents are then emptied into another container.
No. 903 is designed to hold large parts on rollout shelves. Workspace dimensions measure 38 x 38 x 38”, and 40 kW are installed in Incoloy-sheathed tubular heating elements. A 1000-cfm, 1-hp recirculating blower provides horizontal airflow to the workload.
Six inert gas cabinet ovens designed for the medical industry incorporate a cabinet oven design and allow for low PPM oxygen levels. The Blue M unitized ovens have a maximum temperature rating of 1100°F (593°C).
A Class B oven with a maximum temperature rating of 250°F (121°C) will process up to 5 gal of water per batch from 1,500 lb of metal powder. Thermal Product Solutions (TPS) shipped the Gruenberg cabinet oven to a company involved in research and development.
A 1250°F (677°C) horizontal-airflow cabinet oven, No. 1045 is currently used for heat treating at a customer’s facility. Workspace dimensions of this oven measure 38 x 38 x 38", and a 350,000 BTU/hr is installed in a modulating natural gas burner.
