High temperature bearings are designed for use in a range from 350 to 1000°F (177 to 538°C) in oxidizing atmospheres and from 350 to 6000°F (177 to 3316°C) in non-oxidizing atmospheres.

Metcar Grade 1515 is designed to operate without lubrication in dry and dust-prone environments at temperatures up to 750°F (399°C).
