Process heating is a critical factor in many manufacturing processes and contributes to the overall cost of operation. Insulation helps minimize heat loss in these application, but often, insulation and its role in energy efficiency are not considered during the design phase.

An argument could be made that the most important element to implementing an effective heat-trace system is attention to detail during the installation. 

Failure to adequately plan for the arrival of a new heater can cause major frustrations and unnecessary costs.
